New Premier League Lettering For The 2023/24 Season
Hey Reds! The 2023/24 season will not only bring new Liverpool FC kits but also new Premier League lettering and patches. This will be only the fourth time the lettering has been updated in Premier League history! Avery Dennison, who specializes in branding and labeling, is the company behind this redesign.
"The beauty of the Premier League is that it creates era-defining names and numbers. It is very rare that the design itself changes, so it is an honor for the team at Avery Dennison to have been part of that process."

To maximize visibility, the number's height as well as the negative space has been increased. These changes were even tested by three Premier League commentators Martin Tyler, Jim Proudfoot, and Joe Speight! The new numbers also feature a subtle graphic pattern, which helps give the design an extra layer of charm.
"The request was for the new design to be an evolution rather than a revolution. With many components to be considered, such as legibility, durability and readability, we also needed to keep sight of the Premier League branding. Through everything, we wanted to ensure that what we put on the pitch keeps the fans in the stadium and watching at home at the heart of it."

Another update comes in the form of the Premier League sleeve badge. The circle element from the previous year's patch has been removed, so it is now just the lion head that stands alone. The badge has also been increased in size, making it more prominent.
What do we think, Reds? Are you a fan of this new update to the Premier League lettering? I can't wait to see these updated designs on the new Liverpool FC jerseys, which we'll be announced soon!
