by Matthew Taylor

Hey Reds! The first official game of the new season is right around the corner, finally! Klopp's men will face Man City in the FA Community Shield on July 30th at the King Power Stadium. The Final is usually hosted at Wembley, but the venue was moved due to the Women's Euros. The Community Shield features the previous season's league and FA Cup winners, in a game that sets up the start of the new season. Let's take a look a some of the key numbers heading into the game.

3 - LFC is unbeaten in the last 3 games against City, including the FA Cup semi-final win last season.

3 - The Reds have made 3 new signings in the summer transfer window. Hopefully, we'll get to see the new lads make their first competitive appearance for the Reds.

3 - This is the first competitive game since Mo Salah signed a 3 year contract extension for the Reds!

15 - Liverpool has won the Community Shield a total of 15 times.

63 - It will be 63 days since the last competitive game LFC played. We've waited long enough!

100 - This is the 100th edition of the season’s traditional ‘curtain raiser.’

106 - Liverpool has won 106 times against Man City.

67/19 - Harvey Elliot will be wearing a new number for the Reds after switching from 67 to 19.

It's good to be back! 🔴🔴
