Liverpool's Europa League Group
Hey Reds! The Europa League group stage draw took place this morning, which saw us discover who Liverpool will be facing in the upcoming European competition. Although we'd all want to be in the Champions League this year, this is still a major trophy we'd love to get our hands on!
Liverpool was placed in Group E alongside LASK, Union SG, and Toulouse. The Reds will start their European campaign on September 21st with an away game against LASK. The final game of the group will be an away game at USG on December 14th.

LASK is an Austrian team located in Linz. Located 1,031 miles from Anfield is LASK's home stadium. The Raiffeisen Arena is a brand-new stadium that was officially opened earlier this year. LASK finished third in the 22/23 Austrian Football Bundesliga season, behind Red Bull Salzburg and SK Sturm Graz. Potential dangerous players to watch out for LASK are Robert Zulj and Moussa Koné. This will be the first-ever competitive game against LASK.

Union SG is a Belgian team located around the city of Brussels. Located 450 miles from Anfield is Union SG's home stadium. The Joseph Marien Stadium is much smaller than the LFC players are used to, with a capacity of only 9,400. Union SG finished second in the 22/23 Belgian Pro League season, finishing behind Genk on goal difference. Potential dangerous players to watch out for Union SG are Mohamed Amoura and Alexis' older brother, Kevin Mac Allister. Once again, this will be another first meeting between the sides.

Toulouse FC is a French team located in Toulouse. Located 925 miles from Anfield is Toulouse's home stadium. The Stadium de Toulouse is used for both Toulouse FC and rugby side, Stade Toulousain. Toulouse only finished thirteenth in the French Ligue 1 but qualified for the tournament by winning the Coupe de France. Potential dangerous players to watch out for Toulouse are Zakaria Aboukhlal and Thijs Dallinga. Liverpool and Toulouse faced each other in the 2007 Champions League campaign, with the Reds winning both group games.

It's all set up for another exciting European campaign for the Reds, and let's hope we can add another Europa League trophy to the collection! 🏆🔴
