by Matthew Taylor

Hey Reds! After an incredible title-winning season in the FA Women's Championship in 21/22, Liverpool is back in the top flight for the upcoming season. The Reds return to the Women's Super League (WSL) for the first time since the 19/20 season.Β

Matt Beard's Reds will travel to Reading for their opening game on the 11th of September. It will then be a clash of both league winners, as LFC hosts WSL champions, Chelsea. The home derby fixture against the Blues will be played on the 25th of September at Anfield, which is sure to be a lively game. There's a tasty final fixture, as LFC will welcome rivals Man United for their last game of the season on the 28th of May.

Despite being WSL newcomers for the upcoming season, the Reds will be confident on the back of an amazing Championship season, where LFC claimed the title by an 11-point margin. The Liverpool Women have also experienced 6 league title wins in their history, including successive WSL titles in 2013 and 2014. This winning experience, along with some prolific signings, sets up an extremely exciting upcoming season!
