LFC Funko: What's the rarest one out there?

by Alisha Weiss

Funko, a company known for creating stylized vinyl figures of popular characters, celebrities, and icons, has become a cultural phenomenon in recent years. But before it became a household name, Funko had a humble beginning in 1998 as a small bobblehead company founded by Mike Becker in his Snohomish, Washington garage - just a ferry boat ride away from the Anfield Shop HQ.

Over the years, the company expanded its product offerings to include a wide variety of pop culture and sports-themed merchandise. But it wasn't until the introduction of their Pop! Vinyl line in 2010 that Funko truly hit its stride.

The Pop! Vinyl figures quickly gained popularity among collectors, with their cute and colorful designs making them a hit with both kids and adults. Today, Funko boasts a massive collection of over 10,000 unique Pop! figures, featuring everything from Star Wars and Marvel characters to sports icons and music legends.

One of the rarest additions to the Pop! Sports collection is the Liverpool FC #10 Sadio Mane figure, which quickly became one of the rarest and most sought-after LFC Funko releases.

Former LFC player Sadio Mane is a Senegalese professional footballer who currently plays for Bayern Munich.   Limited to just 2000 pieces worldwide the #10 Sadio Mane figure is unique in that it features the #19 which he gave up to move to the #10 on the departure of Coutinho.

The Sadio Mane Pop! figure was released in late 2020, as part of a series of Liverpool FC players. But it quickly became clear that the #10 Mane figure was much rarer than the others, with collectors reporting difficulty in finding it at retail stores.
