Matt's Champions League Final Preview

by Matthew Taylor

Hey Reds! We're going to another final! After defeating Villarreal over two legs, Liverpool FC will travel to Paris for the Champions League Final on May 28th. The Reds will face Real Madrid, which is a repeat of the 2017/18 final. After the recent FA Cup final win, the Reds claimed their second trophy of the season. With the upcoming UCL final, and the league title dream still alive, the incredible quadruple is still possible! Although the league is still in City's hands, if LFC does manage to clinch the title then May 28th will become the club's most significant day in our history! Let's take a look at some facts heading into this massive game.

The last time Real Madrid lost in a European Cup Final was in 1981... against Liverpool... in Paris... 👀

The Reds will be looking to win their 7th European Cup. I think I speak for all Reds when I say, we don't mind updating our jerseys with the number 7 UCL patch! 7️⃣

The final is in 12 days! Start your countdowns!

The winners of the tournament take home €20,000,000 in prize money! 🤑

The Reds have won the European Cup 6 times! Winning in 1977, 1978, 1981, 1984, 2005, and 2019. 6️⃣🏆

This will be the 68th European Cup/Champions League final!

Liverpool has become the fourth club to reach 10 European Cup Finals. 👏

Only AC Milan and Real Madrid has won more European Cups than Liverpool.

This will be the first time the same two teams face each other in three European Cup finals.

Lets go you Reds! 💪
