By The Numbers - Tottenham
Hey Reds! As of now, Liverpool's Premier League clash at Tottenham IS going ahead. But, with more and more games being postponed all across the top European league, there is still a chance the game gets called off. The Reds are scheduled to play Conte's men at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Sunday. Liverpool has been on fire in recent weeks, what's new? In contrast to Spurs, who have not played in nearly two weeks due to COVID struggles. If the game does go ahead, then we could be in for another high-scoring Liverpool game. Fingers crossed!
1 - Liverpool go into the weekend 1 point behind Man City at the top of the Premier League.
3 - Liverpool has 3 players currently in the top ten goalscorers list in the Premier League. The only team with more than one player on the list, and we have 3!
7 - LFC has beaten Tottenham in the last 7 games in all competitions. Hopefully, this streak continues for many years!
8 - The Reds are on an 8 game winning streak in all competitions. This current streak started back on the twentieth of November with the hammering of Arsenal.
15 - Mo Salah, the King 🇪🇬👑, equaled Jamie Vardy's Premier League record of scoring or assisting in 15 straight games. Mo needs to score or assist against Spurs to beat the record, which is pretty much a guarantee at this point, right?!
50 - Naby Kieta will be looking for league win number 50 with Liverpool on the weekend. Go on Naby lad!
06/01/2019 - This date is etched into Liverpool's history books. The Reds claimed their sixth European Cup on 06/01/2019, with a win against Spurs. Can you remember the scorers? Mo and Origi of course!
