By The Numbers - Manchester United

by James Doig

With the match between English football’s two biggest sides on the horizon, let's take a look at some numbers that caught our eye during the lead up:

1 - Liverpool have 1 more major trophy than United. Key word, MAJOR. No, Community Shields don’t count.

3 - Both Liverpool and Manchester United head into the game on a high after scoring 3-goals in the Champions League this week.

4 - The reds put 4 goals past United in the last Premier League game at Old Trafford courtesy of Jota, Bobby x2 and Mo.

6 - Liverpool are unbeaten in the last 6 Premier League games against Man United.

8 - Liverpool are the only Premier League team to still remain unbeaten after 8 games.

9 - Mo Salah is on a 9 goal scoring streak in all completions with the reds. We’re hoping the Egyptian King can make it 10 on Sunday!

21 - The reds are on their longest unbeaten run under Jurgen Klopp with 21 games unbeaten in all competitions.

22 - The Reds have scored 22 goals this season, which is the most of any team. Hopefully that number jumps up a good few after the game against United!

590 - Virgil Van Dijk has completed 590 passes in the Premier League, which is the second most in the league.
