By The Numbers - Brighton & Hove Albion

by Matthew Taylor

The Reds take on Brighton & Hove Albion this Saturday at Anfield. On the back of the dominant win against United and a League Cup win over Preston, let’s take a look at some key numbers heading into the game.

1 - Liverpool go into the tenth game week 1 point behind Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table.

2 - With Salah’s hat-trick against United last Sunday, Mo joined Dirk Kuyt as the only 2 Liverpool players to score three against Man United.

5 - Alisson is joint top of the Premier League clean sheet table with 5. He currently shares the top with Mendy and Ederson, but we're hoping he occupies it alone after the weekend!

6 - The Reds have won 6 out of the last eight games against Brighton in the Premier League.

8 - Mo Salah is on an 8 game scoring streak in the Premier League, 10 in all competitions. He will have his sights set on Jamie Vardy’s record of eleven.

9 - Liverpool are now 9 games unbeaten in the premier league after the win against United. The only team unbeaten. It’s getting a bit boring now having to say this every week…

27 - LFC once again leads the league in goals scored after the rampant performance against the mancs, no we will not get tired of mentioning that game! Klopp's men have now scored 27 in nine league games, yes you read that correctly. 27!

185 - The Reds lead the league in the number of shots taken with 185. Klopp’s attacking reds!

1908 - Liverpool and Brighton played each other for the first time in 1908. This was in the FA Cup and the match finished tied. Liverpool won the replay three zero.
