By The Numbers - Aston Villa

by Matthew Taylor
He's back! Captain Fantastic! Although, not in the way many of us would have wanted. I think it's safe to say that we have all dreamed of Steven Gerrard returning to Anfield in some capacity. However, this time he will be in charge of an Aston Villa side. He's had a great impact in his first few games with his new side, but we'll be hoping it stops with their game against the Reds. It feels weird and wrong to be rooting against Stevie G, but it has to be done!

1 - Mo Salah is number 1 for both goals and assists in the Premier League, with thirteen goals and nine assists. One season wonderer...

2.93 - LFC has scored the most Premier League goals this season with forty-four after fifteen games. That's an average of 2.93 goals a game! Incredible.

3 - The Reds have won the last 3 Premier League games at Anfield against Aston Villa.

9 - Liverpool has the most clean sheets in the league with 9!

91 - Trent scored a late winner in our last win against Villa, in the 91st minute! We never give up!

100 - Robertson will be looking for his 100th league win for Liverpool on the weekend.

186 - Gerrard found the net 186 times for LFC. He is fifth on the club's all-time scoring list. He is the only midfielder on the top 10 all-time scoring list.

710 - Gerrard made 710 appearances for Liverpool in his seventeen-year career with the Reds. He is third for all-time appearances for the club.

1998 - Stevie G made his debut for the Reds on the twenty-ninth of November, 1998. A then seventeen-year-old, came on as a substitute against Blackburn Rovers.
