Anfield Shop In New York City
Hey Reds! If you follow our social media accounts, which you should 😉, then you would have seen that we set up a shop in New York City this past weekend. We were invited to offer some LFC goodies at an event hosted by Standard Chartered, one of Liverpool's FC main sponsors. James and I had a great time representing the shop on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in NYC. The Red family continues to build and expand in North America so it's always great to meet and engage with Liverpool fans stateside.

There was a range of activities arranged for the families of the Standard Chartered staff and clients in New York City and New Jersey. The event was centered around an LFC-led Children’s Soccer clinic that included sessions from Liverpool Academy coaches. On the side were fun children’s entertainment like face painting, bouncy houses, and soccer-related mini-games. Mighty Red also made a special surprise appearance which the kids, and James, loved!

Perhaps the best part of the day was the special guest. James and I were a bit star-struck when we looked up and saw John Barnes across the pitch. With over 200 goals and assists in just over 400 Liverpool appearances, it's fair to say Barnes is a true LFC legend. Not only was he boss on the pitch for the Reds, but he's also a true gentleman off it. He took the time to chat, take pictures, and sign items for everyone at the event.
It was a fantastic event, one that we were happy to be a part of! We will always jump at the chance to get out there and meet the awesome Liverpool fans in North America!
Check out our video below that highlights some of the best moments from the event.
