Only one more sleep till Matchday. I can hardly wait. How do you pass the last few hours till kickoff?

Liverpool trades 3 stripes for 25 million

In a shocking deal, Boston based Warrior sports will produce Liverpool kits starting in 12-13. Warrior sports previous claim to fame is making Lacrosse and hockey jerseys.

So what does it all mean? Is it the end of Standard Chartered as the title sponsor? Will the new kits have room for shoulder and elbow pads? Will this start domino effect of clubs dumping their current kit providers and demanding more money? Will this money go directly into King Kenny’s summer spending budget? One would certainly hope.

What do you think?

Hey Man Utd, you jealous?

Chooo! Chooo!

I’ve got a lot on my mind lately about our Liverpool FC, and I wanted to ask my loyal readers what you guys think, as you could provide some additional insight.

Question #1. Does Manchester United winning their 19th Premier league title matter?

My Answer: Well, yes and no. I think it doesn’t really matter for the fact that ManUTD and other top teams are having a down year, and they are by most people standards winning by not only having the most points, but mostly because nobody else can take advantage of their mediocre form since the holiday break. And with my rose colored glasses on, I think that Liverpool will become an immediate title contender next year, and tie things up at 19 ๐Ÿ™‚

Why It does matter? It’s because they can help us get into Europe if they can knock off some of the teams that we need to gain ground on for qualification. And if Getting into Europe next year means the Red Devils win the premiership, then I’m mostly okay with it.

Question #2 Can we still qualify for the Champions league?

My Answer: Absolutely yes! I am driving the dare to dream express, and I reserved a front row seat just for you! Yes I know the teams above us have to stumble, but have you seen our form lately? I don’t think anyone wants to play us right now, ESPECIALLY at Anfield

Question #3 Simple question, complicated answer. Where does Dirk Kuyt stand in terms of his Liverpool legacy?

I want to see your answers to the above questions in the comments below. Have a fantastic Tuesday night!

Inspriation Thursday

One the eve of the greatest tragedy in Liverpool FC’s history, I don’t think I could put a post up about anything else.

I was not a Liverpool supporter at the time of this horrific event, and I can’t imagine the pain and sorrow of anyone who was.

We cheer for those who cannot.
We support for those who would.

Justice for the 96.
You’ll Never Walk Alone.

I’m too sexy for my shirt….

Away Kit

So what does everyone think? Personally, I like it. In fact I like it so much I already manned up and ordered one with Carroll’s name and number on the back. Ill be pounding back pints and scoring laser goals with my left foot in no time.

What is your favorite Liverpool shirt? The new Standard Chartered Red? One with the classic Carlsberg on the front?

Question for you all. What has two thumbs and is not tired of watching Andy Carroll’s double against MCFC on Monday?

Did Liverpool master the art of football from King Kenny’s tutelage in the past week? Was MCFC a bunch of totally aloof overpaid crybabies that were only concerned with their status in other competitions? As I’m sure you guessed, the answer was a little of both.

It’s not that Liverpool beat MCFC 3-0, its the way they did it that was most impressive. Starting young fresh face doe eyed John Flanagan on the back line against a moderately strong strike force is not ideal, but he looked like he could become a Kop favorite sooner rather than later.

The much maligned midfield coming off an awful performance against W.B.A. and missing leader Steven Gerrard looked like they were in top form. Establishing a solid link between attacking and defense, creating space all over the pitch. And even a goal with finesse from Dirk Kuyt? Madness ๐Ÿ™‚ I kid I kid

And to my favorite part of the match the strikers, in particular Andy Carroll. Yes I know that we may have overpaid somewhat to get him, but seeing those goals go past Joe Hart lets me know we got a great value. I don’t think any goalkeeper in the premiership stops either of Carroll’s goals. Having an aerial threat in a Liverpool shirt makes me giddy like a schoolgirl.

If there was any negative from the game, which would be very miniscule would be there was a number of touches from multiple players from inside the 18 that were significantly off target. But like I said, beating the current 4th team in the premiership 3-0 is just fine with me, no matter how we got there.
