O Captain! My Captain!

Our bad injury situation just got worse. Captain Stevie is now out for the last stretch of games.

The famous Walt Whitman poem was written after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Unlike honest Abe, Stevie will be back, next season and although he will be unable to be on the pitch until then, he will most definitely be advising his troops on proper battle strategies during training.

We’re going to find out a lot about our Liverpool boys in the last few remaining matches. Here’s to hoping what we find out is well worth knowing!

“O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribboned wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning.”
